North Shore Recycling is an owner operated Family business that started on the north shore of Long Island. We are currently located in the Village of Freeport on the south shore of Long Island. North Shore Recycling has been recycling for over 90 years.Through our separation and compression techniques we have developed safe and clean methods for processing scrap metal. We have become and industry leader in the concise and efficient processing methods we utilize. Here at North Shore we are dedicated to saving the world one pound at a time.

Our philosophy is one that puts our clientele as our number one priority. We have put forth a tremendous amount of effort developing programs to allow for a pleasurable experience every time you do business with us. We have updated all of our scales to include LED indicators and keep them in plain sight.
We keep an updated price board as well. Our staff is highly trained in scrap metal separation. When you back in to our facility one of our trained scrap separation technicians will unload your scrap and separate it accordingly. This process was set up to ensure that you get paid correctly for each item you bring. We refrain from giving pricing over the phone due to the differences that exists within the scrap metal grading system.

Once our technicians have inspected an item you have brought in for recycling we can determine the most accurate pricing. We offer a variety of pick up services for all scrap metal job site needs. We have container service available for your steel and iron. Our containers range from 20 to 40 yard containers.

Box Trucks Pick up

We also offer box truck pick up for all commercial nonferrous metals. Our box truck fleet is equipped with lift gate trucks that range in size from 14 to 26 feet in length.
